Cottage Review: this apartment is small, as stated in the write up, but is more than compensated for by the magnificent views from the windows over the bay, the sea crashing over the harbour walls and that magical sound of the surf that certainly lulls you to sleep. Fantastic!! Michael Caffari

Cottage Review: I had a good holiday in excellent accommodation, which, although small, was very well equipped and had a lovely view on two sides. Portreath itself was a very quiet resort out-of-season, and there was only one general provisions shop, and only one take-away open in the evening (Chinese), but even out of season the local bus service was pretty good (hourly), and this can take you to large supermarkets. Altogether this holiday was very good value for money.

Cottage Review: This was our fourth holiday at the Gatehouse; a very well equipped and comfortable little holiday home with stunning views. The perfect location for another wonderful holiday. Thank you.

Cottage Review: As with quite a lot of holiday lets I personally always like to know if they supply a hairdryer and a long mirror, I find that mirrors are often in the wrong place and there is no power point close by.

Cottage Review: We spent two nice weeks at this lovely property, the owners are very friendly! The view out of the windows is fantastic, you can watch the surfers and if you have luck the seals. We enjoyed our stay in Portreath and could recommend the property to couples!

Cottage Review: We chose the Gatehouse at Porthreath due to its description and photographs. This was the first holiday we've had where we stayed close to the beach and had to travel to the local towns rather than the other way around. What a change it made not to have to worry about parking and carrying all our beach equipment with us. Coming from the midlands it was wonderful to be able to look out of the window straight at the sea. The whole holiday was super. Cornwall will always be at the top of our list of holiday destinations from now on. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a second week at the Gatehouse.
