Set in this popular village, there is a great pub and plenty of walks with Blandford Forum nearby, a character cottage, great for a self catering holiday. Poppy Cottage was built in 1860 and is a charming little mid-terrace cottage with a real homely feeling in a cluster of about twelve on the edge of Charlton Marshall. Rural, peaceful and quite unspoilt.

Poppy Cottage has an enclosed garden with a table and chairs with roses and clematis, great for the kids to run around. Entrance porch to cosy living and dining room with open fire (coal included) and TV/DVD. Neat fitted kitchen (microwave) from which steep stairs (stairgates) to two pretty bedrooms, both with views to the garden including a double, and a twin (truckle). Bathroom (suite, shower over bath).

Cottage Review:   Cottage lovely and homely glad we found this cottage as last minute yes it was quiet beaches and amenities not far away cottage spotless well equipped I forgot my mat to go in Bath I didn't need it as one provided tea coffee milk & biscuits there on arrival thankyou stairs were steep but ok bed a bit soft for us we still slept there was enough room for two cars while there we went to Poole Bournemouth Weymouth Durdle Door & monkey world we were lucky with the weather nice part of the world

Cottage Review:   Poppy cottage was perfect for our family holiday. The cottage had everything we needed, was clean and well kept. Our host was fantastic, and was available to give advise as needed. We will definitely stay here again when we next visit the area.

Cottage Review:   A lovely cottage, small but perfectly formed. Well equipped with plenty of local information which was great for planning our walks. Peaceful and comfortably furnished and great to be able to light a fire in the evenings.
