Description of the holiday cottage

Merlins Cottage near Tintagel is situated in a stunning location with fantastic sea views at the end of a private track in the hamlet of Trevillick, a stunning holiday cottage with sea views that sleeps 8 people with 4 bedrooms near Tintagel on the North Cornwall coast. Set right on the south-west coastal path, Merlins Cottage is perfect for those that love walking, the ancient history of Tintagel and the many fantastic beaches nearby. Merlins cottage has a wonderful and spacious modern country kitchen with large electric oven and hob, there are two fridge freezers and a microwave oven, washing machine dishwasher and tumble dryer.

The kitchen is finished to the highest standard including a Belfast sink, large tiles adorn the floor with a adjoining dining area that has a solid wood table and seating for eight in an open plan style. There is a ground floor sitting room complete with wood burning stove, two armchairs and large sofa as well as a gorgeous window seat where you can take in fantastic views of the countryside and sea. There is a large conservatory with beautiful views throughout of the gardens with the sea in the background, a small cane sofa and two cane chairs along with coffee table. There is also a children's snug with wall mounted flatscreen TV, plenty of games and a beautiful window seat. There is a ground floor double bedroom with built-in wardrobes, table and seat. Upstairs at Merlins Cottage, there is a large double bedroom with sea views, bedside table and lamps. The second double bedroom also has beautiful sea views and has an ensuite bathroom with a bath and separate shower.

There is an additional double bedroom with two single beds that can be converted to a double upon request and has rural views. There is also a shower room on the first floor and the ground floor bedroom has an ensuite shower room. Outside at Merlins Cottage near Tintagel, there is plenty of space to enjoy along with the garden furniture and barbecue.

Cottage Review:   Owner decided to advertise this cottage on another site to the one we had booked on for a higher price, having previously promised to honor our booking. They neglected to tell us that they had double booked/cancelled our booking and we only found out by chance 2 days before we were due to holiday there via the booking website after making numerous attempts to contact the owners. Absolutely disgraceful way to treat people, a holiday spoilt, time wasted and not so much as an apology from the owners. Book at your own risk.
