Cottage Review:

Two of us stayed here in May 2021. We?d originally booked for March 2020 but had to postpone the holiday due to the pandemic.

The cottage is perfectly located - literally just off the main High St in Morpeth meaning shops, restaurants, pubs and other amenities are literally on the doorstep. But the cottage is tucked away in a little courtyard meaning it also feels quiet and peaceful. Just perfect!

The accommodation was spotless, tidy and very cosy. There is excellent central heating, a fire, a perfect kitchen for cooking and preparing lunches while on holiday, there is a bath and excellent shower and two comfortable bedrooms. We absolutely loved the place and felt at home immediately.

Given the location the cottage is perfectly located for cycling being both by very close to Morpeth train station and to the national cycling network. We were able to get out on our bikes right along the stunning Northumberland coastline and got to Amble, Walkworth, Bothel and Newbiggen on Sea easily (mostly flat too!) and also take trips by train to explore further. The cottage is also very close to Morpeth bus station allowing us to get up to Seahouses and Holy Island.

We can?t recommend this place highly enough. A perfect location with comfort and all amenities in the cottage and literally on the doorstep. We will be back!
