I've stayed at a few of the cottages here. Its the most wonderful place, very shabby chic, casual old stone buildings and beautiful wild cottage style gardens. Great for older kids (who want to explore the numerous natural features of the estate including river, woods & waterfall) and for the younger kids there are pigs, chickens, ducks and peacocks(we banned TV and computer games and the kids didn't mind!). There is fresh food/eggs grown on-site. Most of the clientèle seem to be repeat visitors (families with children) Don't expect a hotel like service its not that sort of place. We shall definitely return.
