| Cottage Review:
My mother and I stayed for one week. We found Rose Cottage exactly as shown and described, spotlessly clean and fully equipped, all we needed to buy was food over the course of the week. The accommodation is cosy, yet spacious, 2 generously sized bedrooms each with large en suite. Heating system was excellent, house heats up very quickly. The owner, Sean, set the timer as we requested and the cottage was always really warm. Peaceful location with lovely views. Village of Ballinamuck has a shop and a couple of bars, the shop was was ok for basics, whilst nearby Drumlish is 5 - 10 minute drive with a couple of well stocked mini markets, and Longford is a 20 minute drive with a big Tesco, McDonalds, Pizza Hut etc and loads of good bars and restaurants. The location itself is excellent as it's equidistant to Belfast, Dublin, Galway and other excellent places to visit. Sean, the owner, lives next door and was accessible in the mornings or in the evenings when he returned from work. We really only saw him on arrival and on the last day to say goodbye. He's a good man and made us feel very much at home straight away! It was my first visit to the Rep of Ireland, we found the people to be so charming and warm. I'll definitely return and will look to book with Sean when i do.. |
