Such a lovely house in a beautiful area. The house had so many useful things eg soap in every bathroom, dishwasher tablets, lots of towels, plenty of space and lovely outdoor area. Its location is great with plenty to see and do. We enjoyed the Bricklieve mountains and Carrowkeel tombs, Sligo, Lough Key activities, Marble Arch Caves and trips to Galway and Dublin. We would love to stay again and would recommend this house and lovely hosts.

We stayed in Ivy House for Christmas, and we couldn?t ask for a better experience. This comfortable , spacious and well equipped house provided us with a ?home from home? experience, and helped make our Christmas a special one. The house is well laid out , warm, and the log burner fire was well used! The Christmas tree and decorations made the house a lovely festive setting for our family.Everything we could possibly need was provided, and the house was spotless. The location was ideal, a few minutes drive from Ballinafad and Boyle, and we managed a few walks in the beautiful Forest Park and the Caves of Keash.

Thank you to Liz and Bernard for being such gracious hosts, we look forward to a return visit!

Lovely house in a beautiful, serene setting close to all Co Sligo and the North West has to offer..Great space for a large group and the kids will love the back garden equipped with 2 goal posts. The house accommodated 11 of us ranging from 3 to 63 and was a home away from home.. The house was very clean both inside and out and the host Liz was very friendly, accomodating and the cakes went down a treat..Even though the weather was poor we still explored the area every day..Must see is Lough Key the boat trip was well worth it and the crew told us a great pl

Our family party of 9 including a 1 year old baby stayed at Ivy House in June 2019. Our stay was fabulous! Liz was just a joy, so friendly and welcoming, nothing was a bother! The house is so spacious and the gardens are fabulous, plenty of space to play in, the house was perfectly kitted out for our baby including stair gates, travel cot and high chair, perfect and just what's needed when holidaying with a baby. Everyone really enjoyed their stay, lots to do nearby and its easy to get to the surrounding towns/villages. Beaches are nearby too, just a short

We?ve just spent a lovely week in your beautiful home. The location is stunning, lovely peaceful surroundings complete with a very spacious garden which our kids absolutely loved! We made full use of the log burner which kept us toasty on our fun filled game nights. Liz and Bernard were delightful hosts and made us feel very welcome. We would love to return to explore the area more and thank you for a wonderful holiday.

We first booked this lovely house in April and after our stay we had to come back in December. After a lifetime of holidays in the Boyle area staying in our grandmother's house, this is the only place that fulfilled our needs when she passed. Beautiful quiet country location with gated drive and privacy. Situated on a working farm next door with the pleasant sound of cattle and peace and tranquility. A lovely modern house with yet some rustic old charm that works in harmony. The owners Liz and Bernard couldn't do more for us and the house has absolutely everything we needed from tea, coffe, sugar, washing up liquid to every cooking utensil and even has a dishwasher, as well as tin foil and kitchen towel!! The Little things that go a long way when staying elsewhere . A home from home and will be going back again. Although only 3 of us stayed would be ideal for more people. The house warms up very quickly and we were left a beautiful welcoming fire on arrival. Can highly recommend this home if you want a peaceful relaxed break.

We booked a week away for 7 (2adults and 5 kids aged 13, 11, 9, 7 and 3. We were expecting a lovely homely house in a beautiful setting but what we got was so much more. The fire had been lit for us on arrival and the house was so warm. The delightful owners met us with warm smiles and kind hearts and made us feel so welcome. There are so many extras included that are not listed like dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, hand soaps, towels, toilet roll.... I know this sound so trivial but it makes such a difference when you?re travelling with kids that these things are already taken care of.

The grounds are spectacular. It was autumn and the leaves were changing colour and beginning to fall. It was so picturesque. Looking out on the view everyday was a delight. My kids loved playing in the garden which is situated off from the main road so safe for young children.

The house itself is so big and was so clean with linens which smelt beautifully. It was evident that the owners are meticulous when it comes to hygiene and cleanliness.

The house was so central to all the places we wanted to visit. Arigna mining experience, Foxford Woollen mills, Lough Key Forest, Ballina, Carrowkeel Passage Graves, Carrick on Shannon etc. So many things to see and do. Everyday was a new family adventure. These moments were precious and made even more special knowing that we were returning to Ivy House each evening.

Overall we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend it. We will most definitely return to this property to stay again.

House was very clean and a good size if very dated, however it is certainly not 5km to Boyle. A sign 100 meters from the house says Boyle 10km.!!! Much further away than we wanted. Very rural road which made it difficult to go out at night. Nearest pub is advertised as 500 meters however we passed it while driving and sat nav said 1100 meters from the house. We paid top money for a week in August but felt it was a bit unsafe for our small children as grounds were not private. Vans drove through a dirt track in front of the house on numerous occasions. Only a
