floor plan

Higher Close is a grand, modern house situated in the village of Mawgan Porth, benefiting from four bedrooms and bathrooms, balconies with sea views and a footpath from the garden leading to the nearby beach.

Internally, this stylish property benefits from high standard features including balconies from all bedrooms, four bathrooms, bi-folding doors from the living area leading out onto the furnished patio area and wireless internet throughout. Externally, the garden with established shrubs, plants and palm trees make for an ideal retreat after spending a day at the nearby beach, where guests can sit out on the decked terrace area and enjoy dining alfresco whilst using the pizza oven.

Mawgan Porth has a small supermarket/deli for essentials, a newsagent, surf store and surf school. Nearby there is also a farm that sells free range eggs, meat, vegetables, cakes and bread. In terms of food and drink, there is a family friendly pub with large beer garden and play area and a family friendly bistro serving locally caught fish, burgers and pizzas. Not to forget The Scarlet restaurant, headed up by a Michelin award winning chef, just down the road.

Just a short distance away is the popular fishing port of Padstow, characterised by its harbour ambience and reputation for gourmet restaurants. A pleasant and relaxing place to wander around, the medieval network of lanes wind through the small town with most leading to the picturesque harbour. A variety of boat trips regularly depart from the harbour, offering cruises and fishing trips along with a ferry across the estuary to Rock. The nearby village of St Merryn, aptly named ‘Seven Bays for Seven Days’ offers seven beaches within the area which are Trevone Bay, Harlyn Bay, Mother Iveys Bay, Boobies Bay, Constantine Bay, Treyarnon Bay and Porthcothan Bay, all of which offer a different coastal experience.

Newquay with its world renowned beaches, surfing facilities and nightlife is 5 miles away; whilst the south coast, including attractions such as The Eden Project, is around 30 minutes by car.
