Adjacent to magnificent gardens and grounds this truly superb cottage, attached to the owner’s country house, stands on the site of what was in mediaeval times the Hospitium of the Knights Hospitallers of St Johns of Jerusalem. Cottage Review:

If you need a fantastic base then this cottage will not dissapoint we are currently enjoying our second stay here last year we visited in August this year Septembre. Really spaciouse very clean and with all you could ask for to cook and live well for a week or a few days. The cottage has its own enclosed garden, fab for dogs, use of tennis court and pavilion. The grounds are fab with a large grassed area leading down to the river. The owners are just next door but the size of the house means that you feel no where near. The owners seem to bend over backwards to let you know all the inside knowledge on walks and great places to hang out. They also have mastered the art of being there when needed but show a true understanding of providing guests with privacy and space. Fantastic location for National Park, coast and brilliant local walking, We Love it and think others will to.

Cottage Review:

We chose this cottage as it seemed to be a fantastic location for exploring the coast and National Park in Northumberland. Sleeping 6 and being pet friendly with an enclosed garden, real Fire and tons of comfy room throught the property it did not disapoint us. The acres of grounds are flanked with a fly fishing stream and just up the drive is the welcoming pub of the Cross Keys. The Cottage owners are available for local inside knowledge on brilliant local walks and activities if required. Saying this they are well rehearsed in letting their guests enjoy the acres of space and privacy available. We visit many cottages throughout the North Of England and would highly recommend this one.
