Lovely gardens. Felt the cottage could have done with a coat of paint throughout. Would be very dark when all the surrounding trees were in full foliage. Not on mains drainage so there is a cess pit. Not sure if this might be an issue in high summer!

We had booked several cottages before through Blakney cottage Co and all have been superb. This was no exception, I think the previous reviewer was when it was managed by another holiday company. So a lovely open plan layout to the house and was perfect for us as two adult couples with the 2 x en suite bathrooms. very clean and everything felt as new which is important. The location is brilliant, set well away from the main road its so quiet and the gardens are superb. The best bit is being behind the pub, how convenient! Wander just 200 metres from the cottage and one is on very quiet country lanes to the coast, 3 miles on our bikes and in no time we were eating fresh crab in Salthouse.... We will be back.

Cottage Review:

This is a pretty cottage in a lovely garden. BUT, be aware that the bedrooms are very small with insufficient storage (e.g. no wardrobe in one and no chest of drawers in the other - bizarre!). The living area is pretty dark because of the huge trees and the kitchen cupboards smelled damp and musty. When we stayed, despite having paid premium price for the facilties advertised, things were abit hit and miss. E.g. the washing machine didn't work at all, nor did one of the heated towel rails and the TV/DVD sporadically locked up. All this would have been ok had the agents fixed things - as they assured me they would when I phoned - but, no, after initial promises nothing more was heard... Not good value for money at all.
