So much could be said about this cottage, it is beautifully maintained, everything superbly clean. Warm and comfortable with a vey welcome tray of tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits waiting for you on arrival.

The views from the courtyard are stunning and what a sun trap!

Perfectly situated for ease of access to many stunning walks and attractions.

One tiny observation that might help some is that if your dog's second name is Houdini then part of the wall surrounding the courtyard might just be low enough to tempt them to pop over it. Owner offers a pet sitting service if you want to go out for a meal or similar where your dog might not be welcome.

Cottage Review:

Every time I went outside saw the green field moving in the wind, heard the sheep and looked at the colors play of the sky I felt as if I was meditating.

The quite and space feeling were exactly what we needed on our vacation havin jobs in the fast lane. The cottage was fully equipped for our family as we are cooking at home and not eating out. There were enough pots for soup and rice, pans to fry fish bowls for a salad and trays to bake a cake all in parallel. The living room has 2 very comfy couches and enough light to read at night after the hike. The downstairs toilet is a bonus. Upstairs the bedrooms are comfortable and it was a first that we had blanket duvet and sheet for cover. This was very considerate as my husband and I like different covers. The beds and pillows were good and the extra shower in the parents room reduced pressure in the morning. I would add a second drape as the light was steaming in at 4 AM. The lane leading to the farm is reasonable to drive on for non UK residents and Tideswell with shops, caffe's and pubs is less than 10 minutes drive away

WIFI was quite slow, a bonus for me as I could not work even if wanted.

we all would love to come back

Cottage Review:

We booked The Dairy for three nights in March 2018. We needed to change our booking to a day earlier. we spoke to the owner and she was extremely helpful. We arrived for our first night, the cottage was lovely and clean and warm and cosy. The owner called in to see if everything was ok for our family. We had heavy snow whilst visiting and the owner kindly cleared the snow for us so that we could get home. We would love to stay in the cottage again and appreciate the beautiful countryside and the lovely village of Tideswell. The Peak District is stunning.

Located on a lovely farm, less than 2 miles from the pretty village of Tideswell. Several very nice pubs in the area and many are dog-friendly. Short drives to Buxton, Bakewell & Chatsworth ( though Chatsworth is quite expensive to enter the house and/ or gardens The Dairy is owned by a very friendly and helpful owners, is comfortable homely & very well equipped.

The Dairy at Forest Lane Farm is a cozy self-catering cottage that suited our needs for the week right down to the ground. The views are outstanding, the facilities were as outlined and very good. WiFi connection excellent as was the sleeping! Located not far from Tideswell where you'll find excellent fish & chips at the Corner Chippy and a lovely pint at the close to town Anchor. The owners of the cottages could not be beat. Always right there when you needed any assistance at all. We were never made to feel that we were a bother in the least. I
