We arrived after a 6 hour journey only to find that the owner was not expecting us! The accommodation was dirty, and just as the previous tenants had left it. Fresh bed linen and towels were provided but there was no attempt to clean the lodge at all. The second bedroom was very poor, the curtains did not cover the whole of the window so we were woken early by daylight. We had a lovely week here with our daughter and son-in-law. Dave, the owner, couldn't do enough for us, he's such a good natured man. We collected fresh eggs from the hens every morning for breakfast, a real treat. The neighbours were very friendly and the local pub and bistro were also great.
