We have just had an amazing weeks stay in Porthtowan - The lodge was amazing with almost everything you could ever need. They offer a fully equipped kitchen which includes all the eco washing powder etc. On arrival there was a full explanation covering everything you could possibly need whilst staying in the lodge.

There is a large dining table and comfortable sitting area with a log burner, which was fantastic as the nights were cool.

The bedrooms are bright with good quality bedding - The bed was harder than I am used to but that is just a personal thing (can't please every-one !)

The best part was the balcony with hot tub which we used every day, there was also an abundance of very tame birds and squirrels which loved our cereal and were entertaining to watch.

The lodges are about 5 minutes walk from the beach and the village has two pubs, chip shop and small convenience store. There is a very nice pub about 5 minutes drive away called The Victory who offered a good selection of food.

If you want peace this is the place, so go for it and book yourself a little bit of luxury by the sea.

The lodges are perfect if you're looking for luxurious 5* self catering accommodation - really comfortable, clean, well maintained, contain everything you'd need for self catering, a cosy wood burner and a fantastic hot tub! Porthtowan is a lovely little seaside town too with a great beach, coastal path and a nice beach bar.

we stayed here form 4-7 nov 2012, wish it had been longer. we stayed in Wheel Mary a 2 bedroom lodge. My husband and i used this a base for a walking holiday-our first. we would highy recommend these lodges, fantastically clean and well equiped, oozing in Luxury. the Hot Tub and Log Burner added that something special. we can only imagine what a delight they will be in summer. lovely area not to far away from main tourist attractions. the owners were friendly and informative, there when we needed, not when we didnt. lovely place. we will be looking at returning for sure. When we started looking for our holiday in Cornwall, we wanted a luxury lodge with a hot tub and wood burner. We wanted seclusion and tranquillity. We got everything we wanted at Rosehill. After reading all the reviews, I had such high hopes I was worried I'd be disappointed, but not at all!

We stayed in Wheal Lydia which is set on the opposite side to the other lodges and offers real privacy. The lodge was spotless and we had a really warm welcome. In fact throughout the whole booking process, all the Rosehill guys could not have been more helpful. The lodge has a real wow factor and is stylish and welcoming. The lodge was warm and toasty but we did indulge by using the log burner. Modern kitchen and appliances, and again all spotlessly clean. Once you are inside you cannot hear any outside noise.

Big comfy bed, the shower was high pressure and the bathrooms had lots of luxury touches. Free wifi was a bonus as there was no phone signal and all the essentials were provided like towels, tea towels, washing up liquid and some tea and coffee.

The hot tub is a real highlight and we used it at least once a day. We put nuts and seeds on the bird feeder and were thrilled at all the birds and squirrels that appeared. We even braved the outdoor shower which was great fun and piping hot!

Porthtowan is a lovely village with a shop, fish and chip shop and some other independent shops. We had two lovely meals at the Blue Bar and can thoroughly recommend a visit. The scenery is stunning and you are well situated for Redruth and St Ives. There is a Tesco about 5 minutes away.

We had some pretty stormy weather while we were away but it was brilliant taking the 5 minute walk down to the beach at Porthtowan to watch the waves, or sitting in the bay at the Blue Bar with a hot chocolate. The best bit of all though was tucking ourselves into our lodge with the wood burner stoked up or sitting in the hot tub covered by the glass awning whilst the weather raged!

Don't hesitate in booking, it is such a peaceful, relaxing and special place run by wonderful people.
