Cottage Review:

Stayed at this lovely cottage with my wife and dog for 3nights and found it delightful. The only thing we took was a dog bed as everything else you will need is supplied, bedding, towels, hair dryer, dishwasher, cooker, fridge, TV in lounge and one in bedroom, iron, plates, glasses, well everything, but if you do want something there is a shop about 100 metres away. Parking around the cottage is very relaxed and the dog-friendly tea room is two doors away and next to that is the village pub. Ros who you will find in the tea room is very helpful with anything you require. This 400 year old cottage is part of our history and we enjoyed the stay very much.

Cottage Review:

We stayed for 3 nights from Saturday 31May14 to Tuesday 02Jun14 and to be honest we were rather disappointed. The overall impression of the property was one of shabbiness. We felt the property was in desperate need of an update or at the very least a thorough deep clean. There was a marked aroma of dog in the property and the skirting boards, electrical sockets and cooker were dirty. The duvet cover smelled musty which we removed and used one of our own. Lastly the DVD player in the lounge did not work (not vital as we were out and about for most of the time). We must say that we were very surprised by the English Tourist Board 4 star notice in the window.

Small quaint cottage with open log fire. BUT thats where it ends!! Kitchen and its equipment filthy, no central heating (contrary to the websites state), have to pay for own electricity by key meter, dirty and unkept bathroom/lounge. Broken outside light so unable to find keyhole, broken leg on bedroom electric radiator, wc temperamental, shower leaks, bathroom heater on wall temperamental and ineffective, broken kitchen equipment, missing shelves to fridge, carpet severely burned under rug. Should be avoided at all costs.
