A truly perfect place to stay..a magical setting. Mrs Seddon made us very welcome and Howlugill Barn has left us with some precious memories.

Cottage Review:  

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage is nicely furnished, has lovely views and the owners are very friendly and helpful. It's a great location for exploring Yorkshire and County Durham.

Cottage Review:  

Our hosts were very friendly, welcoming and informative about the area. We were very comfortable and well catered for. This is an excellent base to visit the Lakes, North Yorkshire, Durham and Newcastle. A visit to nearby Bowes Museum is an absolute must, but get there in time to see the Silver Swan at 2.00 pm.

Just a couple of things to bear in mind; there is no freezer and you are remote from shops - Barnard Castle is the nearest; and the access must be treated with care if you vehicle is low, although the hosts do use a sports car which shows it can be
