| Cottage Review:
Were given to understand thorough covid security cleaning would be done before arrival of guests. We found that our property had not been cleaned at all; settled in downstairs, explored outside seating area, then on taking luggage upstairs found that the bags of bedding and towels left by the previous guest were still there. By this time we had touched door handles, cupboard doors, handrails etc. Had difficulty contacting Sykes so used mobile number given by Sykes which went to voice messaging. Eventually owner called saying we shouldn't have had this number.....they arranged to a cleaner to come in. This was several hours later. Apologies were thin on the ground. For the rest of our stay we felt vunerable; we are in our 80's. Beds in twin room were hard, no hanging space. Toilet seat does not stay up; nowhere to put toiletries in shower. Adjoining property to side of front door is derelict. The back area of this empty property is in an untidy unkempt state. We did get a night's stay refund, but this did not compensate for a less than happy break in Cemaes Bay. |
