Cottage Review:
The property was visibly mouldy, with damp patches and smelly to the extent that it made me feel chesty, despite not having any pre-existing respiratory problems, so definitely avoid this if you have asthma, or just prefer not to smell like you have been kept in the loft for a year! It was so bad that I left half way through the week and returned home. A complete waste of my time and money, especially as it was a 26 hour round trip by car. When I complained to Sykes Cottages (prior to leaving) they were incredibly unhelpful and told me that I should just lea |

Cottage Review:
Contrary to the description of a rural retreat, whilst remote, the property is adjacent to a slipway and active boat yard belonging to the fish farm, so there are tractors and cars arriving in the mornings seven days a week and fish food crates create a background smell. The cottage does have good views of the Loch and whilst a little tired we very much enjoyed watching the seals and were lucky enough to see an otter in front of the Boathouse. The surrounding landscape is fabulous and we enjoyed our stay. We asked before we went if there was a baking tray as |
