We stayed in Nutmeg Cottage, the smaller of the two on offer. Directions were easy to follow, we got a warm welcome on arrival, with milk in the fridge and cakes for a cuppa.the cottage was spotless, impeccably furnished and well equipped. We were so happy being clean and comfortable. Great big bed and high tec walk in light controlled wet room - brilliant.

Absolutely spotless cottage with really great facilities. in an interesting part of Norfolk with easy access to Norwich and Broads. We had a young baby as part of the party, cot and high chair supplied were immaculate. It will also be a great cottage for older children because of large playing area and the railway. Thoroughly recommend this cottage and we had a great time.

Had a fantastic week in Plum Tree Cottage. The cottage was exceptional. All bedrooms had fantastic on suites, lounge with a huge log fire, must be very cosy in winter, well fitted kitchen with dishwasher etc. the grounds with the miniature railway were extremely well kept, congratulations Jane and John you work very hard. The area was exceptional with easy reach of many of Norfolks attractions. As the weather was excellent, very hot and sunny, it would have been nice if there were a couple of deck chairs on the patio to relax in, to be fair we

didn't ask Jane if there were any, having said that we had a marvellous time in and will no doubt be back again. Fantastic

Outstanding in all aspects. Initially the personal welcome from Jane, the cakes that awaited our arrival and the standard of the cottage itself. Nutmeg Cottage is the cleanest, most well-equipped self-catering accommodation we have ever stayed in; the cottage had everything anyone could need. The decor and furnishings were of an exceptionally high standard. Jane's knowledge of the local area was very useful. We were fortunate to take a trip on the miniature railway and were made welcome and given interesting information by "the experts". We hope to be able to visit again soon and would certainly recommend this accommodation; it definitely deserves the 5 star rating.

My wife and I were looking for a clean, well equipped peaceful rural retreat in which we could recharge our batteries, but one not too far from civilisation. We hit the jackpot with Nutmeg Cottage!

The cottage is one of two holiday lets on site and appears to be part of a barn conversion. It is well comfortable and well equipped with a modern kitchen and cosy living room with a log-burning heater. The bathroom boasts under-floor heating and has a large walk in shower. There is plenty of wardrobe and storage space in the bedroom and a very comfortable bed.

There was a huge amount of local details in a folder, plus valuable advice from Jane. There were a few DVDs available, a radio, plus two board games and free Wi-Fi. Outside, there is a small but sunny south-facing garden with a patio, a small lawn and plenty of shrubs. The extensive narrow gauge railway was amazing and I am grateful to John for showing me around its facilities.

We were warmly welcomed by the very hospitable owners Jane & John. They have made an excellent job in maintaining the cottages to a high standard. We will most certainly be back

Very spacious, large rooms all beautifully decorated and appointed. Recently installed kitchen with all mod-cons you could want and also new ensuite wetroom.

Literature is available in the cottage providing information on local tourist spots and eating places!Jane and John are also wonderful hosts and extremely friendly. Already booked again for next year.

This really was the cleanest, most comfortable and best equipped cottage we have stayed in - and there have been many over the years. Very difficult to find anything adverse to comment on, and Jane and John were very welcoming hosts, ready to help in any way possible if you needed it.

Also, we had a wonderful "nature" day out with Carl Chapman - well worth considering if you love the outdoors.

What can I say that hasn't been already said? Beautiful accommodation ( we stayed in Plum Tree Cottage), beautiful setting, so peaceful. Pheasants on the grass in the morning. Everywhere kept beautifully clean and tidy. A real home form home - I could happily live there!) Jane & John and one of the guys from the railway so very welcoming. Nice walk to Wroxham Barns just down the road. You feel like you're really away from it all but within an easy drive of Wroxham / the coast / Norwich etc. Would certainly like to return for more than a weekend!

We stayed in Plum Tree Cottage for 2 weeks in August and had a terrific time. Cottage comfortably slept 4 adults and 2 children and had bathrooms in abundance! Great base for visiting all parts of North Norfolk.

Our stay at Plum Tree Cottage was everything we hoped for. A beautiful barn conversation with plenty of space of us, two children and one set of grandparents. The walk in shower was a definite hit with the girls and as adults we could not fault the location or very high standard of the property. We were lucky enough to be the first guests to try out the railway going in the opposite direction to normal and this was the highlight of the girls week, many thanks to all the team who took us round it really is very impressive and in such a beautiful setting. Many thanks as well to Jane who made us all feel at home and for lending us Oink and Jack to keep us company for the week. I'm sure we'll be back 😃

We were so looking forward to this break after a bad start to the year with my father's illness. So impressed with the cottage, home from home comforts. Downstairs ensuite room with walk in shower for my semi-disabled father. Due to our circumstances we needed to cook meals in the cottage. It had everything I needed, it even had a lemon squeezer! Although very rural with beautiful gardens and surroundings, we were very close to Wroxham for supplies. Thank you Jane for making us so very welcome. We will certainly be back.

They say that first impressions count but in this case the first impression continued throughout the weekend that we stayed in East View Farm. We stayed in Plum Tree Cottage which was exceptionally clean, well provisioned and exquisitely furnished. The cottage and everthing about it was of an unbelievably high standard. It is situated in a charming setting alongside the farmhouse next to their wonderful miniature railway. This was our first visit to North Norfolk and it proved to be a revelation. We had a wonderful and exhillarating weekend returning each evening to a real "home from home". To quote Arnie "We'll be back!"

We have just returned from a very enjoyable stay in Plum Tree Cottage. Fantastic cottage, spotlessly clean, in a lovely, quiet location. My parents spent a week on their own, which they thoroughly enjoyed, as they needed a well earned peaceful break. I joined mum and dad with two boys, aged 7 and 10, for the second week. The location is perfect for visiting Norwich and the Broads. Both boys loved the miniature trains, a special extra bonus! Would highly recommend a stay to anyone.

Plum Tree Cottage was instantly impressive; an architect-designed, new build featuring ancient beams and red brick walls. It has three bedrooms, each with an en suite bath or shower room, and a wood-burning stove in the comfortable lounge. We were lucky with the weather, but this place would be cosy in the bleakest of winters. The owners, Jane and John Pond, are an amazing couple - friendly, charming and inclusive. We rode on the surprising model railway John and a team of enthusiasts had created in the farmhouse grounds, and invited to a barn dance to celebrate the Queen\'s jubilee. They clearly work hard to keep the grounds immaculate and the cottages - there are two of them - spotless. We\'ll be back.

Nutmeg cottage: a beautiful, quiet and cosy cottage. It is clear that no expense has been spared to create what is *more* than a home from home. Excellent spec - superb bathroom - walk-in power shower; latest appliances in kitchen. Cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. We had a lot of rain unfortunately, but that meant we could take full advantage of the comforts of the cottage - we sat snugly inside, watching the rain on the windows! The location, close to Wroxham is ideal for exploration of the area - for convenience we used the train - only 15 mins to the centre of Norwich, and 25 minutes to the coast. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, but never intruded on our privacy. We can heartily recommend this cottage.

This was out third visit to Nutmeg Cottage and we found this to be to its usual high standard. The cottage had been updated with a complete new kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom now has a beautiful walk in shower so spacious and comfortable to use. The kitchen had been renewed with brand new bosch appliances and all new units and equipment. This really does make it feel like home from home. Jane and her husband are always so welcoming it feels like returning to old friends. Nothing is too much trouble and with their wealth of local knowledge it makes for a fantastic break. We would highly recommend this beautiful cottage for both a short or long break.

Our visit to the newly updated Nutmeg Cottage was a truly enjoyable relaxing break away from wet and overcast Scotland. (Unfortunately we took the rain with us for some of the days!) Lovely little cottage, plenty of room for two, looks just like the photos. It's in a very quiet location, but very close to Norwich. Very friendly and helpful owners, and lots of local information/leaflets available in the cottage. It was perfect for our long weekend, but we enjoyed it so much we would have stayed longer if we could - infact we wanted to take the cottage home with us - the king+ size bed was amazingly comfortable for us!! Everything was well maintained and in good working order - everything we needed was provided in the cottage, even a tea towel and dishcloth. You will need to give a cash deposit on arrival for damages, but this will be returned on departure, following a quick inspection for any broken/missing items. Details re this will be sent to you once you have booked. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed virtually traffic-free lanes, taking in thatched churches, magnificent barns, quiet backwaters, and wildlife reserves. My wife and I needed a relaxing break, and that is just what we got, we were central for a day out or just stay there and relax on the sunny patio, The cottage is beautiful and well maintained and the host,Jane was just great.

We will definately be going again.

Cottage Review:

We booked Plum Tree Cottage for a week to join with two of our dear friends to celebrate a special birthday together. What a superb choice it turned out to be. Plum Tree Cottage is set in a delightfully quiet rural setting only a few miles from Wroxham Broad and merely a 15 minute drive to the nearest park and ride for Norwich with its impressive cathedral. The converted barn is spacious, spotlessly clean, full of character with many exposed internal wooden beams and old brickwork and yet has every modern facility, a lovely open aspect where wildlife abounds and a private light railway on the estate run by enthusiasts to boot. Jane has done a great job in creating a delightful inside décor and providing everything conceivable to make the most of a stay here; there is no need to bring anything other than any food and drink if you intend self-catering. Jane was also immensely helpful in giving us plenty of information on arrival and during our stay on places to eat and visit and on things to do of which there are many. John was most helpful too in investigating and resolving a minor problem we had, and for treating the 2 men in our party to a glimpse of the workings of the Ashmanhaugh Light Railway on whose land it operates. This was our first visit to Norfolk and we found Plum Tree Cottage a perfect choice of a place to stay with a warm welcome from Jane and John, set in a beautifully secluded position and yet within 40 minutes’ drive to several large National Trust owned properties and land, stunning coastline walks and bird watchers’ marshes and, of course, the Norfolk Broads nearby. We cannot recommend Plum Tree Cottage highly enough for either a short or long stay.

Cottage Review:

We have just returned from a wonderful weeks holiday at Plum Tree Cottage. The cottage is set in beautiful, peaceful surroundings within easy reach of the surrounding area. The cottage is beautifully kept and is a credit to Jane - the owner who was most helpful if needed during our stay. Our visit was specifically for wildlife watching of which the area carries an abundance of. Thanks for a lovely holiday - will be back!!!!!

My husband and I had a lovely peaceful weekend, in beautiful surroundings. Great location just outside Wroxham so easy access to surrounding area. Had a great lunch at the Recruiting Soldier near Coltishall. Will definitely visit again.

Our 4th visit to Nutmeg Cottage. Ideal for the two of us who needed to escape life for a week!

Ideally located for visit to two brilliant National Trust houses, close to Norwich (nice city with amazing cathedral). Take the train to Cromer - a little old-fashioned seaside resort but we love it.

Beautiful beach walks at Wells and great bird-watching at Cley.

We had some excellent lunches at Wroxham Barns and the The Olive Branch at Tunstead.

Nutmeg Cottage is spotlessly clean, very comfortable and peacefully situated. Superbly comfortable bed - could have slept for the week!

Nutmeg is highly recommended.
