A detached 3 bedroom property nestled in a valley, Clovehayes is a short walk to the Town Square of North Tawton, a small market town in the heart of Devon.

It lies within easy reach of Dartmoor National Park and one hour to golden sandy beaches on the North and South coasts of Devon and the Devon / Cornwall border. The City of Exeter with its wonderful Cathedral is 20 miles away. The perfect base to explore Devon, and Cornwall if you like to travel a little further.

The Devonshire Heartland Way, Tarka Trail, many Public Rights of Way and the National Cycle Network are close by, as well as National Trust Properties and Tourist Attractions.

Cottage Review:  

This lovely bungalow is in the small market town of North Tawton. An ideal place for travelling around or pleasant country walks. The local supermarket is open until 10pm & there are other small essential shops & pubs within easy walking distance, although we didn't try any of them. The property is fresh, clean & everything is new inside. Beds are really luxurious & comfortable. The welcome pack was an added bonus to find on our arrival, especially the scones, Devon jam & cream, to make our own cream tea.

Janet the host is friendly, very helpful & made us feel really welcome. There is a paddock at the rear of the property which we were free to wander around if we wished. This gave a real countryside feel to our stay even though we were only a few minutes walk away from the town square. The patio also looks onto the paddock and is a great place to sit and chat or have a BBQ, although we didn't use the gas BBQ on our stay, that also was brand new. Perhaps next time. We managed to visit some coastal towns and Dartmoor where we had some excellent walks and saw the Dartmoor ponies, foals, sheep and lambs. The little town is quiet at some times and quite busy at others. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and won't hesitate to return. Thoroughly recommended.
