Cottage Review:
Church View cottage is conveniently located, with Newport town centre within easy walking distance and just off the Great Western Greenway, but still very quiet and secluded ? ideal to explore the area far and wide (with Achill Island, certainly one of Ireland's most beautiful spots, close by), and also for simply relaxing and taking a breather, especially in the beautiful garden with the mountain vista. The cottage itself offers everything you need and is well kept by its very affable owner, who adds a very personal touch to his beautiful house to make his |

Cottage Review:
This is the perfect small cottage - immaculately presented and with personal attention from its owner Paddy Costello, himself something of a local legend. A short walk to the pubs, cafes and good shops of Newport, which is largely unspoiled by tourism but is a short drive from the great tourist sites of the area, such as Achill Island and Croagh Patrick. We particularly enjoyed the Ballycroy national park - admittedly helped by lovely weather! Don't miss the Harry Clarke stained glass windows in the Newport RC church. |

Cottage Review:
Spent a week here in May. The description did not do it justice. The views across the valley towards the mountains is fantastic. The cottage had everything we needed and was ideally situated for touring the area. The Greenway is on the doorstep so ideal for cyclists/walkers. Will definitely coming back next year. |

Cottage Review:
Very conveniently placed for Newport and surrounding area. Cottage is well equipped, warm and welcoming. Very friendly owner who will welcome you to visit Ashford Castle as well. Quiet situation off the main road but walkable into Newport. Perfect if you want to explore north mayo or fish the many fisheries in the area. Shed outside is perfect for wet gear. Lots of nice places to eat locally from brilliant fish and chips to gourmet dinners at Newport House. Great music in town at Grauine Uaile. |

Cottage Review:
We visited for two weeks in April 2018, the cottage is in a nice quiet area just outside of Newport town, it is clean, has two TV sets which have free view satellite and local channels via terrestrial tv, but tbh tv is the last thing on your mind as you are surrounded by great scenery, Mountains etc, we tended to use Nevins for the odd meals, but the food was muuuum fantastic, served by great friendly people try it yourself, There are other eateries and places for a tea or coffee in Newport, they have a reasonably good supermarket there,Bridgeport has seve |

Cottage Review:
Wonderful cottage in a lovely location. The cottage is well equipped and warm. Plenty of hot water and lovely log burner for those cold evenings. Plenty of outside space. The kitchen is well equipped if I was being really picky it's lacking a decent sharp knife! Paddy makes you feel very welcome. Newport itself is great plenty of pubs and shops within walking distance and lots of great places to visit in a short distance. |
