This is a very pretty lochside cottage near Glencoe, in Appin. Completely modernised, new kitchen new bathroom, sleeps four

Best Features

Midway between Oban and Fort William on the West Coast this is the most famous Glen in Scotland, and one of the most beautiful areas. You see the wildlife in the bay from our lounge window, and a 3,000 foot Munro mountain starts from our back door. Our little Highland garden is safe for even the wildest youngsters. There is so much to do in the area, with its walks, its castles, the scenery, fishing, cycling tracks over the hills and along the shores. Shops are a short distance away, and a brilliant hotel serves bar meals just 400 yards away. Drink all you like and walk home safely.

All we can say is WOW!We just come back from four wonderful days in this lovely little cottage! Everything was perfect, from the comfy beds to the glorious scenery. The area is minutes away from Glencoe and beautiful Glen Etive. YET it is also a great base for touring further afield to Oban, Fort William, Helensburg,Loch Lomond and Loch Awe. Also drive up to Loch Ness and Inverness,or over to Stirling. Gorgeous scenery is everywhere. We can also recommend the wonderful craft shop, 'Crafts and Things', which is just up the road from the cottage. Please go in the coffee bar there and don't forget to try the apple pie! Gorgeous views over the sleepy loch, mist kissing the sea and cuddling the mountains. We woke up to that every morning. Romantic? You betcha! Super warm cottage, fully fitted kitchen and I loved the fact that I could put a wash on! Look out of the bathroom every morning, and see a mountain with even a little waterfall right at the top! What more could we ask, and so reasonably priced too! It's the best holiday We've ever had. Book it! Plenty to do whatever the time of year. Rain doesn't spoil this kind of scenery-the sky has a bright hue whatever the weather. There's a big file of things to do to peruse as soon as you arrive! The owner is really helpful too and sends lots of information to you on booking. Go to Glen Etive, we've had close encounters with beautiful deer and other wildlife, and the scenery is indescribably beautiful.Just amazing. Altogether a completely wonderful experience! We returned home relaxed and refreshed. We will definitely be booking this delightful cottage again!

We had our best Christmas ever in 3 Bayview cottage.

It really is in an excellant location, next to a loch, close to the coast, Ben Nevis, Glencoe and stunning scenery which ever way you turn.

We found the cottage very cosy and comfortable with all the facilities a family needs, very good kitchen appliances, comfy beds and everything we needed including Wi Fi.

When we did have a problem (freezing pipes, it was -10 when we first arrived) both the owner and local housekeeper (and her family) were both very friendly and helpful and managed to resolve the problem even over the Christmas period.

A special thank you to Michelle, John and Michelle's father for being so helpful.

We would definitely recommend and hope to return.

We had a really lovely stay at Kentallen. Although the weather was extremely cold, the scenery was stunning and Scotland has never looked more beautiful.

As always, we found the cottage clean, very comfortable, extremely well equipped and cosy - despite the 'deep freeze' conditions outside. We felt at home straight away and everything we needed was provided, including internet access.

This was not our first stay here - and hopefully it wasn't our last! We would prefer to keep it quiet so it might be available when we next want to stay ............but have to give the owners their due. In short - comfort, facilities, location and local information - all fantastic!

Very cute little cottage with all the equipment you would want for self catering. Owners info extremely useful for walks, eats and things to do in the local area. Location absolutely stunning - local beach and Holly Tree restaurant were highlights for us and the kids. A truly lovely relaxing holiday.

Had a great week here. Being a Fifer I don't venture west very often but I will come again. Our English friends who came with us were in Scotland for the first time also vow to return. The walking was great with breathtaking scenery esp. in Glencoe and the local hostelries are worth visiting. The Hollytree Restaurant nearby was the treat of the week with a stunning view in addition to great food. The cottage although small is well equipped for all weathers and very comfortable and cosy.

We stayed at the cottage last year during our first trip to Scotland and absolutely fell in love with it. The cottage overlooks Loch Linnhe and the view is simply gorgeous. There was an amazing guide in the cottage that we put to good use. We found a lot of things that otherwise would have gone unnoticed. It was extremely comfortable - the beds were so nice and warm and comfy.... it made it hard to get up in the morning. Everything was very nice inside - clean, updated and had everything we could want. This area is perfect as there is so much to see and do around the cottage and the landscape is truly amazing. I am definitely staying here again...hopefully in the next couple of years and hopefully for longer than a week. Honestly, it was my favorite spot that I have stayed on any vacation. Truly wonderful!!!

Make up of party:  2 friends so we each had our own rooms. We had plenty of room. It would also be comfortable for 2 couples sharing the cottage.

We are very happy to write a review for Bayview cottage. My husand and I needed a break, found the cottage on the web and booked a week in May. It was totally relaxing and comfortable. The owners have thought of everything. Their information on the walks in the area was marvellous. We did everything from mountain walking (which we'd never done before) to ambling around the lochs and woods. Everything in the cottage was new. A really lovely week, with lovely weather. Thanks Bayview
