Description of the cottage holiday
The Station Masters House is, as the name suggests, full of history and character. Sitting trackside a heritage Steam Railway, this stunning property nestles in an ideal location on the edge of the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds yet is only 10 minutes from the coast! With 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 large lounges, this spacious house sleeps 8 in total comfort. If your party is larger, you can hire The Station Masters House with one or more of our 3 superb Railway Carriages to sleep groups of up to 22!!
Best Features
This wonderful old house overlooks the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway and, on Steam-running Days, you can wave at the trains from the large kitchen window! Having 2 lounges, there is plenty of space to relax and unwind without getting under each others feet. Maybe let the kids have one room whilst the adults relax in the other! Our welcome lounge is set apart by it's real log fire (log store always fully stocked!) and two large comfy sofas, whilst our sun lounge doubles as a dining area with tables and chairs for 8 plus comfy armchairs and a sofa as well as a TV and portable stereo. You also have large sliding doors here leading out onto the patio where you can sit in the sunshine and treat yourselves to a BBQ. You may like to hire our Bouncy Castle to put in the self-enclosed garden for the children so you can watch them expend their energy whilst you relax. We also hire cycles and accessories direct on site so you can explore the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside at your own pace. You can treat yourself to a cool ice lolly from our shop on your return!

Cottage Review: Myself and 6 friends stayed here last weekend (22nd-23rd May 2010). It was to celebrate three 40th birthdays. We used the Station Masters House as a base-camp as we were watching Superbikes at Cadwell Park. I must say how good this place is to stay! The house was beautiful! Immaculately prepared, even supplied with milk tea and coffeee (you don't get that very often!). Large, comfortable, sleeps 8 easily, even the couches are comfy! Quiet location, and a must for train nuts! It was great to wake up to the birds instead of traffic! The weather was fantastic for us. Janine the owner is an absolute STAR, very friendly and helpful! You can even hire bicycles there too. And for smaller parties there are 3 converted railway carriages as chalets. Definitely a place to return to!
