Description of the holiday cottage
The Old Schoolhouse, Meenaslieve, Co. Cavan is a totally restored 4 star state of the art self catering accommodation comprising three double bedrooms (two ensuite) on the first floor with a fourth ensuite bedroom on the ground floor designed for wheelchair access. The 200m2 property has been restored with energy conservation and sustainability in mind. Solar and pellet boiler heating, rainwater harvesting (toilet flushing), and reedbed filtration are some of the technologies employed at the schoolhouse. The house although energy friendly combines state of the art technology with comfort.
