Description of the cottage holiday |
As its name suggests, the Byre Cottage was formerly a cow shed and milking parlour.
The cow shed has now been transformed into a high quality peak district self catering cottage offering "upside-down" holiday accommodation with the Kitchen, Lounge and Dining area providing 360 degree views of the surrounding countryside.
The Byre sleeps 4 in one double room and one twin room . The bathroom is equipped with bath, shower, sink and WC and has a heated towel rail.
Heating is provided by an ECO friendly ground source heat pump system which supplies the underfloor heating system throughout. Guests often comment on the warmth of the slate floors. A wood burning stove provides the visual, cosy feel although we doubt you will need the extra warmth! (logs supplied). |

Standing in an acre of ground, the cottage enjoys uninterupted, 360 degree views of the Peak District National Park. The nearest neighbour is half a mile away! You are welcome to wander around the garden or, if you are feeling more energetic,the cottages are adjacent to a network of footpaths which take you to Flagg, Taddington, Chelmorton, Monyash, Sheldon and beyond to Ashford in the Water and Bakewell.
The cottage is at the end of our private lane where parking is off-road and plentiful. They are surrounded by Derbyshire stone walls and are more than 100 metres from the nearest local B road. |
