Description of the cottage holiday
Where the Tailor and his family used to live and toil, you can now relax in contemporary comfort and style. Tailor’s cottage now has a thoughtful mix of traditional features and urban style to make a perfect rural retreat for you in any season.

An antidote to city life but a home away from home with all of the modern comforts and facilities. Escape here and spend your days relaxing in front of the cosy log burner, watching the clouds roll over the hills and constantly changing light in the peaceful valley, or step out from the door and use the cottage as a base to explore the craggy hills and valleys of Snowdonia.

The underfloor heating in the kitchen and central heating throughout means you always feel cosy, but it is always tempting to get the log burner going in the lounge.
Sink deep into the sofa in front of the glowing fire and watch the light change in the valley.
A modern, kitchen yet the style is in-keeping with the character of the cottage, fully equipped with everything you need to cook up a feast with a four ring electric hob and electric oven as well as a microwave, dishasher and washing machine. Two double bedrooms, both extremely cosy with window looking out down the valley. Be warned that the comfy beds, big soft duvets and blankets tempt you to stay there all day!
A contemporary styled bathroom with a ‘rain shower’ over the bath.

Outside Tailor’s Cottage
The cottage has a small enclosed seating area to the front where you can sit and watch the sun go down across the valley.
Parking for the cottage is just around the corner in front of the chapel.
Wander out from the door on footpaths that take you into the surrounding hills and eventually up to the moonscapes of the Migneint.

Cottage Review:   Stayed between Christmas & New Year 2012 for 3 days, wish I'd booked for longer, cottage has everything you could possibly need & everything is excellent quality from the bed sheets, towels, cooker, taps to the cups and saucers! It gets 10/10 we'd go back. The location was fab, we wanted peace and got it, no phone signal unless you walk up the hill but that suited too. Excellent out your front door walks, short drive to some fantastic waterfalls and lakes, nearbye towns and villages. No pub or shop in village, nearest pub and shop is a drive not a walk really but that wasn't an issue. I'll happily go back to this cottage and this location.

Cottage Review:   We had a wonderful time at Tailor's Cottage. The cottage has been renovated in a contemporary style but retains so much charm - a perfect mix! The cottage is quite cosy and makes for a perfect hide away if you're in need of some rest and relaxation.

Cottage Review:   A lovely little cottage in a small village. The cottage had a lovely feel to it and was very comfortable. The kitchen is incredibly well and thoughtfully equipped. The additional thoughtful items in the kitchen were the best out of any cottage I have been to. The cottage overall is very small and two doorways very low. The bathroom is small but lovely and well put together. The cottage is cold and doesn't get much sun but the underfloor heating really is good and makes the cottage warm. It was lovely to sit outside on the small patio with a glass of wine and watch the farmlands get ready for the night ahead. There were wonderful gifts in the welcome basket too, very generous.

Cottage Review:   Beautiful cottage with everything you need for a relaxing hideaway. Great kitchen for cooking up a storm, and the lounge is so cosy we hardly moved from it all weekend! Loved the wood burning stove & the unbelievably comfy bed, would definitely stay at Tailor's Cottage again. Bonus points for the Barra Brith in the welcome pack!

Cottage Review:   We really had a great time there at the cottage. It was as lovely as advertised on the web. The only hiccup was that we did not know how to operate the heater and it was freezing when we got there. It might be because we are from a warm country and we do not use heater at our home. Other than that, it was all pleasant. We would definitely recommend my friends and families to go there and I would surely use sheep skin again as we are missing it already!

Cottage Review:   Lovely cottage, fell in love with a wood burner. Comfy, well equipped and lovely surroundings. Sheepskin really helpful before we went, answering questions and finding out information. Thank you. I didn't ask if the cottage had a hairdryer, I assumned it would which wasn't the case. The cottage was cold when we arrived, would have been nice if the radiators had been on.

Owner response:
Thank you so much for you feedback about Tailor's Cottage and Sheepskin. We must apologise for the cottage being cold when you arrived we have made a note that the heating thermostats should be set so that the cottage is nice and cosy as soon as guests arrive and since your comments we have added a hair-dryer to the cottage. So that next time that you escape to Tailor's Cottage you will find absolutely everything you need. We look forward to welcoming you again soon, Helen (Co-founder Sheepskin)

Cottage Review: We had a lovely stay in the cottage and a superb time in Wales. The guide you provided was very helpful. We will definitely be recommending the company and hopefully will have a chance to stay at Tailor's or somewhere else soon.

A truly memorable holiday break. We will miss the noise of the sheep whilst lying in bed.

As for feedback, I can't emphasise how pleased we were with our stay. It turned out to be just the two of us for the whole stay, but had we had guests then a few more towels would have been handy and a couple more toilet rolls. Honestly though, we had an excellent stay and enjoyed every moment, so thank you so much. It was just what we needed!
