Description of the self catering property
Slatters Cottage is a luxury Grade II listed self catering holiday cottage in the Cotswolds, parts of which date back to the 17th century, located in a quiet country lane in Bourton-on-the-Hill, nr Moreton-in-Marsh. It has a wealth of character.

Ideal for those looking for a cosy romantic place to stay or, in fact, anyone who is looking for a delightful base to use for walking/touring the Cotswolds.

Downstairs the stone walled lounge has a beamed ceiling and a large inglenook fireplace with log burning stove and window seat. Recently redecorated and refurbished, it is furnished to a wonderfully high standard. On the ground floor is the kitchen, the lounge/dining area with dining table & chairs, leather sofa & armchair, colour television, Freeview box with digital radio, DVD player, CD/MP3 player with radio, and an adjoining toilet and utility room. There are a wide range of books, DVD's & CDs and many games provided. Wi-Fi internet access is also available.

The cottage is fully equipped with a gas cooker, fridge section, separate freezer, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer and gas central heating.

Upstairs are one double (5' pocket sprung mattress) with TV and one single bedroom, sleeping up to three people (plus baby in travel cot), with lovely views over the village and the surrounding landscape, and the toilet/bathroom with bath and shower-over-bath.

There is a payphone and you can get mobile reception (dependent upon your network). There is off-road parking directly outside the cottage for one car and further parking is always available on the road directly opposite the cottage.

A travel cot and high chair can be provided at no extra cost. All bedding & linen (apart from travel cot) and towels are provided free of charge. Smoking is not allowed in the cottage.

Cottage Review:   Quaint cottage with real charm in a quiet setting of the Cotswolds. Central location for visiting other villages and Stratford on Avon. Budgens supermarket in Moreton in the Marsh. Cottage Review:   This cottage was just what we wanted. It was ideally located, just a short distance away from the tourism but near enough to visit the Cotswold towns. We recharged our batteries and loved sitting in front of the fire with a glass of wine. Each room has been tastefully and sympathetically decorated in order not to distract you from the olde worlde charm of the cottage. Simply beautiful . . . . . . . we will be rebooking for the same time next year. Highly recommended! Cottage Review:   Just had a weekend stay at Slatters Cottage and it was truly blissful! The property is very well located and will not disappoint! There is a small garden area in the front of the cottage with a delightful stone table and bench. Once inside the cottage is full of old world charm and spotlessly clean. There is a wonderful warm feeling with excellent decoration. The main bedroom is most comfortable and the bathroom has a wonderful hot shower. Wonderful example of Cotswold charm.

Cottage Review:   Slatters Cottage is situated close to the pretty church in Bourton on the Hill and is a real Cotswolds gem. It is a delightful cottage which wraps its thick walls around you in the most cosy way as soon as you walk through the stable door. The cottage was spotless and tastefully decorated and much thought must have gone into the renovation. There was plenty of space in the lounge/dining area and the kitchen and utlity room were very well equipped. The bedrooms were lovely and the bed was really comfortable. The old beams, stonework and even the sloping floor were in keeping with the age of the cottage and although it was too warm to light the fire it looked very appealing. There is a sweet little garden at the front of the property and it was great the have a parking space right outside. The cottage is very central to visit the lovely places all around. We enjoyed a lovely week in this idyllic place and cannot wait to return.

Cottage Review:   This fabulous cottage has all mod cons, without in anyway detracting from the character and charm of a C16th building. It is comfortable, cosy and very well looked after. A fantastic base for visiting the Cotswolds. Our first time, but as with most other people - definitely not the last.

Cottage Review:   The cottage is charming situate in a peaceful village with all necessary facilities 5 minutes down the road by car, well-appointed, very comfortable and excellent location for touring the Cotswolds and beyond by car. The owners were willing to accommodate any requests and made a point of telephoning to ensure all was up to standard.

Cottage Review:   We have stayed on two occasions and Slatters Cottage is everything you seek when looking for a quintessential English cottage. Character and charm in abundance and perfectly located for all the wonderful Cotswolds villages in the locality. We were snowed in for a few days and it was the best, cosiest space to be confined to! Relaxed, comfortable and highly recommended. [Added at Editor's discretion since it appears to be a helpful review and the reviewer has been authenticated]
