Description of the cottage holiday
A privately owned log cabin, Sandwood Lodge is a cosy self catering lodge situated at Rowardennan on Loch Lomond in Scotland. It is in a striking setting on a quiet, private estate of chalets and lodges. At the southern of the Scottish Highlands it is only about an hours drive to Glasgow, and Stirling and an hour and half to Edinburgh

Imagine clear starry nights, walks wrapped up against chilly and crisp bright winter days or long summer trips away exploring Rob Roy country or the mountains of Argyll in the west and the north - this can be all yours too. Facilities too for boat launching and moorings.

Cottage Review: Sandwood Lodge is a real home from home. It's beautifully decorated and furnished, with one twin and one double bedroom and another en-suite double bedroom. There is a separate bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and dining area and a lovely lounge with leather sofas and TV with freeview and a DVD player. The owner also provides a wonderful range of DVD's and books to read. There is a washing machine and dryer, as well as a BBQ available for guests' use and this year we had a fabulous evening with a BBQ. It is centrally heated and double glazed. It is immaculately clean and bed linen, towels and extra pillows and blankets are all provided. The attention to detail is unsurpassed and the owner should be very proud of the standard of accommodation he provides for his guests. We visit this lodge every year and have done so for about 7 years now and we hate to leave it at the end of our week. There is a lot to do in the area and the loch views are stunning. This is the best lodge we have ever stayed in in Great Britain and I would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone.

Make up of party: We have visited as just a party of 3 adults, but also as a family party of 6 and there is plenty of room for all, even when fully occupied.
