Description of the cottage holiday |
Pebble Cottage is a charming two-bedroomed detached cottage situated in the heart of the pretty village of Kirk Ireton in the Derbyshire Dales. The cottage is full of character and over 300 years old.
There is a cosy lounge with exposed beams and a feature fireplace with wood-burning stove. This leads through to the kitchen/dining area equipped with all the essentials including cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds (more suitable for children), both with exposed beams.
Outside there is a delightful mature garden with garden table, chairs and barbecue.
Pets are very welcome at Pebble Cottage at no extra cost. |
Best Features |
| Less than 100 yards from the village shop and pub serving real ales and with beautiful Derbyshire countryside on the doorstep, Pebble Cottage is the perfect base for exploring the Peak District and the historic towns of Ashbourne, Matlock, Belper and Wirksworth. Alton Towers is just a 35 minute drive away. |

| Cottage Review:
A real find. Cottage was so well equipped and cosy with a woodburner to add to the atmosphere on the colder evenings after excellent walks nearby. A warm welcome by the host who had lit the fire ready for our arrival and left wine, chocs, flowers and milk for us and even a treat for the dog. The cottage was immaculate and a real pleasure to stay at. You can walk across the field behind to Carsington reservoir for a nice long circular walk but equally you are in close proximity for Ashbourne,Dovedale,Belper, Wirksworth,High Peak trail all places well worth a visit. What more could you ask for!!! |

| Cottage Review:
Wonderfully homely cottage set in a briliant location close to Ashbourne which met our needs and some! Some holiday cottages feel lifeless and without soul but im glad to report that pebble cottage surpassed all expectations. With the temp below 0c and snow on the ground, the log burning stove was put to use although the gas heating would have sufficed, the fire only adds to the atmosphere. A fantastic break and will certainly visit again. |

| Cottage Review:
A beautiful cottage set in a charming location with everything we needed to make our stay perfect. A warm and friendly welcome from the owner with chocolates and wine for us, and a treat for the dog (our Cairn terrier really appreciated her chew bone :)) which set the week off to a lovely start. We had a delightful holiday exploring many local attractions, but with so many more we didn't have time see I'm sure we'll be visiting again soon. |

| Cottage Review:
We were very sad in 2000 after visting Pebble Cottage 5 times, to hear it was not being let out any more, then 2010 a letter came to say it was a holiday cottage again, we were realy pleasedhave been back 2010/2011, It`s a really lovely cottage with everything you need & more for self catering. A friendly village, a beautiful area with walks from the door, for us & the dogs It`s perfect, try it you wont be disappointed. Gwen Pete & dogs from Kent |

| Cottage Review:
Lovely cottage in a quiet village location. Community shop which sold everything (except booze)100 yards away, and the 'unique'pub the same distance (does not do meals). Facilities within the cottage first class. Welcome pack as good as we've seen. Great place with walking from the door. | Cottage Review:
After a long car drive, it was lovely to arrive at this cottage and have milk in the fridge ready for a cup of tea. It was thoughtful gestures like these that made it a great visit. The cottage is cosy but has everything you could need to make you feel at home. It was clean, in a good location and the garden is beautiful, so relaxing to sit outside surrounded by the gorgeous flowers. A great place to visit if you want to get away from it all for a little while and get back to a quieter, gentler way of life. |

Pebble Cottage is one of the most well equipped holiday cottages we have stayed in. It is very clean and comfortable and in a great location for exploring Derbyshire. Being able to take the dog was a huge bonus and the enclosed garden meant we could relax knowing she could not get out. |

| Cottage Review:
Lovely quiet location with outside table and ideal enclosed small garden for dog. Great base for holiday. Eating area small so unless children are young it would be a push - ideal for couple. Decent cooking space and fridge/freezer. Comfortable, plenty of space in main bedroom. Downstairs bathroom only won't suit everyone! Plenty of space for wet clothes and responsive heating system! |

| Cottage Review:
Pebble Cottage is a very comfy, cosy, clean holiday rental. The owner has furnished it with comfortable furnishings and it has everything you would need for your stay. The area of Kirk Ireton is ideally situated for visiting the Derbyshire peaks, and villages surrounding it. It is great that dogs are welcomed, we would thoroughly recommend this very pretty cottage, our stay was wonderful and a good time was had by all. |

| Cottage Review:
Beautiful cottage, in lovely surroundings, with lots of walks for Mick our border terrier, just a few minutes from the cottage. We found the villagers to be very friendly and there is a local shop which is great for emergencies. The cottage itself was immaculate with every need catered for and by far the best we have ever rented. The small touches when you arrive, such as the bottle of wine, the choccies ,milk and even the doggie chews made you feel very welcome. we would definitely want to go back, but next time maybe nice weather, although the log fire made it nice and cosy in the evenings. |
