Cottage Review:   The pictures on their website says it all about this property. It really is that good when you arrive. The perfect place to relax with family or a large group of friends. This place can easily accommodate 10 adults. Almost forgot. Give Fliss and John a try for their 5 Course meal prepared and served to you at Oakshead. Great cooking and pleasant hosts. Also worth noting that this is located on the side of a hill. Gives good views but a steep drive to climb in the winter. From great early morning discussions in the fabulous kitchen, to dinner in the dining room, and relaxing in the large lounge, the place to enjoy the delights of the lake district.

Cottage Review:   I am sixty, and over the years have stayed in a considerable number of self-catering houses and apartments. I have never stayed in a property that was better equipped and presented. The property itself is perfectly located, with lovely views, and is generously proportioned throughout. Every room is spacious, and all was scrupulously clean. So on arrival we were off to a great start. Then we were simply amazed by the standard and numbers of the equipment provided. The cutlery, crockery etc. would have suggested maybe twice the numbers of people staying, which is so convenient because there is no shortage even when the dishwasher is running. Throughout the house, everything one could need is provided. And the investment of effort that the owners have put into the files about the house and "What to do" is awesome - and much appreciated!!
Make up of party:  The configuration was perfect for us, with myself and my wife as grandparents, one family comprising daughter, son-in-law, a 2-year old and a baby, and another family comprising daughter, son-in-law and baby.
