Congratulations on a superb renovation. We have been privileged to have been able to spend this time in your beautiful house. The scenery was splendid and experiencing the snow storm for us was a first time experience. We could not have asked for more for our family reunion, the first one in a Winter Wonderland. As avid nature lovers we enjoyed viewing the birds and other wildlife each day. We hope we have the opportunity to experience your hospitality again on another visit to Scotland. We would like to acknowledge our thanks to our neighbour Pat for advice and assistance and the joyful welcome at all times from Millie. |

A fantastic house, made all the more special by being set up for Christmas with the tree, reindeer etc. A great place to relax and get away from it all, although we were lucky enough to get in a couple of days skiing & walking. Happy New Year! |

Wonderful Steading – Full of praise for the Harpers – Well done on a superb refurbishment. The beds are so comfy, the kitchen with that ‘window’. A pleasure to cook in! And boy have we cooked up some suppers this week!! Went to Baxter’s village at Fochabers – worth the trip! And a nice restaurant there. . . We have had to boost the heating on a night – bedrooms touch chilly. Never had to pay extra for towels & logs – perhaps put these things in the rental?? Everyone here are so cheerful and helpful, so nice for a change! We will be back one day to this unique part of Scotland. Mrs K! |

Have enjoyed another wonderful holiday at Milton Steading. Took the Steam train from Broomhill to Aviemore yesterday and our two little girls loved the whole experience. Have sampled the delights of Ballatar butchers venison and the venison and juniper burgers (feeling much heavier than when we first arrived!) Looking forward to returning next year. Thanks to the Harpers for a great stay. |

Summer arrived this week but so did the midgies! We have had a fantastic week and could not of asked for a more perfect cottage. Really comfy beds, kitchen a pleasure to cook in with stunning views. Kids enjoyed visiting Landmark and adventure playground in Tomintoul. Brilliant day out at Cairngorm Mountain Railway, shopping at Inverness and visit to Loch Ness (Nessie not spotted). Dogs have had a great time too watching and trying to catch local wildlife! Woodland walks at Boat of Garten a must for all dogs. No need for any further improvements to this wonderful place. We would love to return in the winter. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay here. |

“Perfect”. The house has everything we needed for our holiday. It’s amazing what can be done with an old cow barn, the photographs detail a wonderful creation – well done and thank you for letting us share your house for our week here. The wildlife is great. Saw the stoats, deer, sparrow hawks, rabbits, rabbits, and more rabbits. Dogs have been walked for miles and miles, then some more – good fun practicing the casting on the Lochy as well. All in all an excellent week in a perfect house. Many thanks. |

Thoroughly enjoyed staying here – can’t wait to come back. Absolutely gorgeous house. You have thought of everything imaginable. The fire made for perfect evenings after a long soak in an amazing bath! Loved all the blankets and hot water bottles (not that they were needed!) Bedrooms are to die for. Best house – love it! A very big thank you. Strongly recommend the ‘clock house’ in Tomintoul – best food by far! Definitely worth a visit! |

As our family is now scattered about quite a bit we have a family get together holiday every year at this time. This house is by far the best we have stayed at and gave us the necessary space that eight people plus dogs need. As well as being extremely comfortable we’ve had a wonderful time walking and exploring this very beautiful part of Scotland and hope to return soon. |

Full of admiration for the work put in to producing such a wonderful home. One of the best in 40 years of visits to Scotland. The grand –parent floor was ideal! |

Thank you for a fantastic holiday. The house is superb, in an amazing location and so tastefully and practically furnished. The best house we have ever stayed in. The snow was amazing – such an experience to awaken to a white blanket everywhere and to open the door to be faced with 3ft drift leaning up against it. Skiing at The Lecht was a first time experience for us, Tomintoul & Glenlivet distilleries interesting and welcoming, lovely walks with the dogs, mad pheasants, pool tournaments, viewing nesting Osprey, getting stuck on the funicular railway at Cairngorm, watching rabbits on the hillside opposite, drinking champagne in the amazing bath, feeling like needing to wear hiking boots to get from one side of the kitchen to the other etc etc – all leaving us with very fond memories. Only one tiny suggestion – we found it rather dark to read in the lounge in the evenings – perhaps some extra lamps or stronger bulbs would be useful. Once again, thank you – it’s been great!! |

After a long journey from Newcastle (winding down the track in the dark) what a gorgeous destination! Even with the crazy snow fall the cottage was defiantly worth it! Really spacious for all eight of us (plus Deacon the dog), loved the pool table, open fire, sofa that fit all of us, fully stocked kitchen (we even had an afternoon of baking), toasty warm floor (even the dog was basking on the floor!) – maybe this could even be turned down!? The bedrooms were beautifully decorated, great how they opened up onto the garden. I really could go on and on! All in all, the best cottage we’ve stayed in and we would love to return! Oh and the snowboarding at glenshee was excellent – worth the hour + drive. Wish we had more time to visit the distillery and the surrounding towns. Thanks The Geordies. |

Wow! What a fantastic place. It is the most fantastic, ideal house for a vacation and it’s a shame we didn’t book for longer. The house is equipped with everything one could ever want for. Even though the weather has turned the area into ‘Narnia Wonderland’ we wouldn’t hesitate to book again to experience this place in Autumn, Summer or Spring. |
