Description of the holiday cottage
a mile from the centre of Lewdown is this 'chocolate boxpretty detached and thatched little cottage on the 750 acre Lewtrenchard estate. The cottage nestles behind a high hedge down a tranquil no through lane in the wooded Lewtrenchard valley. It overlooks its lovely garden (bench, table/chairs) and the valley of the River Lew which is close by. In the woods above the cottage is the old quarry from which the cottage takes its name, now a most attractive woodland lake in the grounds of the renowned Lewtrenchard Manor Hotel (fine restaurant).

Cottage Review: A delightful, well equipped and welcoming cottage. Quiet and peaceful location with a pleasant garden to sit outside in. Of note to taller people considering staying here, they should bear in mind that the celings/door frames are low!

Cottage Review: Lew Quarry Cottage is a perfect, idyllic cottage with all modern conveniences, very clean and comfortable in a beautiful, peaceful setting, Can't rate it highly enough and can't wait until our next visit!

Cottage Review: The cottage was in a fantastic location for us. The children loved playing in the garden and nearby ford. The cottage was well equipped and provided a relaxing stay.

Cottage Review: A beautiful picture-book cottage in a lovely location. The large garden was particularly attractive and added traditional charm to the property. The peaceful setting was ideal for getting away from it all.
