Description of the cottage holiday |
Kents Farm Cottages have been converted from a Nineteenth Century Lincolnshire red brick and pantiled Barn. They are well equipped and comfortable, with everything self catering holiday makers will need. Each has its own courtyard and parking area with disabled access.
Accommodation: Both cottages are 1 bedroomed with en suite, double bed and cot, but will sleep four adults or 2 adults 3 children as there is a comfortable double Sofabed in the generous sized lounge. An extra 'put you up' bed is available to use in the large bedroom to make it a family room,if required, plus cot at no extra charge, therefore sleeping 6.
There is a wetroom with wash handbasin, toilet and shower downstairs further enabling disabled suitability. Each cottage has its own Courtyard with patio set and barbecue. Wheelchair available for hire. Bed linen and towels supplied. Welcome tea tray on arrival. Pet friendly. Washing machine and drying area.
Location: Pubs and Restaurants close by. We are directly adjacent to the Louth Canal, where fishing is allowed or just take a walk along the towpath to see abundant bird and wildlife. Also, there are many fishing venues within easy reach and one within walking distance. Cycling is also a great way to see the area with no big hills to accomplish. |
Best Features |
Situated in the Lincolnshire countryside with views over open farmland. Close to the Lincolnshire Wolds, an area which has been designated for its outstanding natural beauty. It is in a perfect location for walking, cycling and relaxing in peaceful quiet surroundings.
Louth, a nearby Market town with specialist shops and excellent eating establishments is 5 miles away. A Traditional street market is held thrice weekly (Wed,Fri and Sat). Country parks and nature reserves, golf, fishing, and Antique shops are all easily accessible. Enjoy a day at the races, Market Rasen racecourse is 9 miles, the coastal town of Cleethorpes is 15 miles, or why not have a day trip to the medieval city of Lincoln with its famous Cathedral and popular Christmas Market.
The Cottage is an excellent base for exploring Lincolnshire, and the surrounding picturesque villages. |

| Cottage Review:
Booked this cottage as we wanted to vist the Donna Brook Seal Nature Reserve. Easy to book and easy to find. Cottage was very spacious and clean with good heating (needed in November), cooking and shower/bath facilities. Downstairs wet room would be good for disabled access. Plesant owners who were happy to help. Would we recommend - yes absolutley. |
