Description of the self catering property |
| Colan Barton is a 350 year old property set amongst 11 acres of rolling Cornish countryside. Fully restored it provides a range of features inc. the Main House (sleeping 11) with swimming pool, games room and aga farmhouse kitchen. We also provide smaller cottages sleeping from 2 to 4. All properties can be combined to sleep up to 19. Despite the tranquillity of the location, these properties are located just 3 miles from Newquay, North Cornwall surf beaches and the airport. |
Best Features |
| Utter tranquillity of the location + a gorgeous old building with character, charm and warmth. Our tiny hamlet consist of just two other buildings inc. the 11th century colan church. Incredibly restful to wake in the morning to the sounds of the Cornish countryside. |

| Cottage Review:
went down with some pals for winter break. not normally my kind of thing but there was a lot of space and for our group worked out a decent price. some of us flew into newquay airport which made the journey much easier. iīd be happy to recommend and during winter, with a big group, itīs pretty cheap. |

simply stunning. their website probably doesnīt do the property justice but actually it makes the arrival even better and one to anticipate. their service is also exceptional. loads of care and attention to detail, i guess cos itīs not a massively commercial operation. totally recommend and plan to return for a winter break later this year. |

| Cottage Review:
What a wonderful property! Stayed for 5 days for Helen and Mikes Wedding. Catered for 25 one day 45 the next and 120 on the day itself. The best Aga in the land! The swimming pool was warm, the accommodation beautiful, the owners extremely helpful, all in all a perfect stay. Will come again,and find an excuse to do so! A wonderful place to get family together, with enough room to be together but not be on top of each other. Thanks a million and cannot wait to come back. . . . |

| Cottage Review:
We booked late and the owners were helpful to organise things for our group. We planned to do lots of things but lovely open fire and big sofas made us very lazy. Really enjoyed the house. |

| Cottage Review:
turned into the driveway and loved it. fabulous property with lots of space and a well used games room. we didn't have fantastic weather but still managed to use the heated pool every day. | Cottage Review:
colan is exquisite. very private, very quiet but only 2 or 3 miles from newquay. the house is a wonderful old country property with stone floors, big kitchen, loads of space and a fabulous swimming pool. kids loved the games room. parents loved the peace. everyone loved the space. shares a tiny crossroads with colan church which we visited for sunday service and they have the most entertaining vicar. a wonderful trip and highly recommended. |

we were two families totalling 9 of us. ideal location because some headed into newquay for surfing whilst others lazed at colan by the pool. |

| Cottage Review:
A beautifully situated house. Furnished to suit its character with fab views. Swimming pool available- outdoor and heated with lovely BBQ area. Only 5 miles from Newquay and fantastic coast line. |
