Cottage Review:

Just had a wonderful stay in the west cottage. The tray on arrival was a great touch with the best raspberry jam we've ever had! The cottage had everything you could possibly need, was really clean and was well set up for the kids - made for an easy week. The views are great and it's such a convenient location to explore the area. The garden is great for the kids when you've had enough of touring. Thanks David and Moyra for a lovely stay.

Cottage Review:

We had one week at Cloag Farm Cottages and had a wonderful time. The cottage was perfect in every way from the standard, the furnishings and facilities. We would recommed the cottages on a 5 star basis. Unfortunately the weather wasn't as perfect but it didn't stop us enjoying ourselves.

Cottage Review:

Having read the previous reviews we have to agree with the high praise: great location, fabulous views and loads of wild life (deer grazing on the lawn early morning is a sight hard to beat).

The cottages are delightful (stayed in East Cottage and Center cottage) and very well equipped with all you could need. David and Moyra are lovely folk and have thought of all the comforts and practicalities to make your stay perfect. All the little extras make you feel welcome and very much at home.

They are helpful and friendly but not intrusive. They even helped look for our dog when she ran off chasing deer. We very much appreciated that.

The cottages are very clean and comfortable with unlimited heating and hot water which was quite a luxury when we stayed in a cold February. April was much warmer and sunny but we still enjoyed a coal fire in the chillier evenings. Our stay was so good we extended an extra 5 nights.

We have family in the area and look forward to many more visits to Cloag Cottages. Thanks David and Moyra for a great stay.

Make up of party:  couple with one adventurous dog.

Having read previous reviews we have to agree with the high praise: Cloag Cottages have so much to offer and are a very high standard.

We've stayed in East Cottage and Center Cottage, both with their own special charm but equally lovely, so much so this trip we extended our stay 5 extra nights.

The location is super with fabulous views and loads of wild life. Deer grazing in the garden early morning is a sight hard to beat.

It's so peaceful and quiet yet near to the village and amenities and an ideal base for the many great attractions in the area.

David and Moyra are lovely folk and there if you need them but not intrusive. They even helped look for our dog when she ran off chasing deer, that we very much appreciated especially as they were so good humoured about it.

The cottages have all you could need for comfort and practicalities. They are spotlessly clean and warm with unlimited heating and hot water. It's lovely having the additional coal fire for chilly evenings and again coal and kindling all supplied.

We have family and friends in the area and hope to have many more visits to Cloag Cottages and thanks to David and Moyra for making our visits such enjoyable ones.

An ideal base for touring about perthshire, was pleasantly suprised at what the owners provided.Only one gripe took my elderly mother and step father and couldnt access the bath,a walk in shower would have been nice, but would recommend to anyone [Added at Editor's discretion since it appears to be a helpful review and the reviewer has been authenticated]

I stay here at least 3 times a year now because it is convenient for visiting some people I know, the views are great and the cottages have open fires. To quote a South African - "When it comes to open fars ar just hif ta hiv". The owners are always friendly and ready to help.

These cottages are a credit to the owners Moyra and David. East Cottage was very well equipped and exceptionally clean. The cottages are in a spectacular location with views to die for, not overlooked front and back, yet being within walking distance from the local amenities and a short drive to many wonderful attractions. We would wholeheartedly recommend these cottages to anyone whether they want a break to get away from routine or whether they want a base for touring some of the wonderful Scottish sights.

Cottage Review:

Cottage Review:

A very attractive comfortable and well equipped cottage, plenty of room for 4 adults despite its deceptively small appearance from the outside!Very cosy and warm on cooler late August evenings.Plenty amenities in the nearby village which is just a short walk away,we ate at the Restaurant and enjoyed a lovely Indian Take-away,both recommended. The chef at the Restaurant will try to accommodate special diets-he came up with dairy free alternatives for 1 in our party.Plenty to see in the area.

Make up of party:  We used the cottage as a family meeting-place for 4 adults living between Aberdeen and Cheshire-plenty of room for all of us.

Cottage Review:

We have just returned for one wonderful holiday at East cottage a very welcome tray was a welcome site after traveling 300 miles on a very wet day the cottage was lovely and warm and warm us up very quickly and of cause the coffee did help as well the only thing that this lovely cottage couldn\'t give us was the weather and we did have some rain. the information pack in the cottage was great and we were able to plan for both wet and fine days tesco is close and asda not far away either. the veiw at the dinning table is far better than our veiw at home with visits from the deer and the grouse make it more interesting ( keep your camera at hand aways)one wonderful holiday thank you david moyra and harriet [Added at Editor's discretion since it appears to be a helpful review and the reviewer has been authenticated]

Everything was perfect: from the welcoming tea tray with shortbread biscuits, to the bunker full of coal, unlimited heating and hot water. The quietness and sheer beauty of the setting entranced us, making it difficult to pull ourselves away and do any sightseeing! The cottage was very tastefully furnished and every detail was thought of and provided.

Cottage Review:

We booked both West and Centre cottage for a week long stay. They were both beautiful, a real home from home with everything you need and more! They were both immaculately clean and the showers were fantastic as was the lovely big bath! Beds were all comfy and the bedding was of a high quality. Having stayed in many self catering cottages, these have certainly taken the number 1 spot! Loads to see and do, Perth being a really good central location. Tesco a few miles away (open 24/7) The information packs left in the cottage were packed full of ideas of places to visit and the welcome tray was a nice surprise, the children enjoyed the biscuits! We only had one day of rain but there are plenty of books and games for the children to keep them amused. We had a regular morning visit from a Grouse and also had deer in the back garden! The children loved it and so did we and we can't wait to go back next year!

East cottage was a real home from home but with a better view from the breakfast table! Very comfortable and plenty of room. A very relaxing place.Situated on a hillside above Methven with views to the village. Less than ten minutes to Tesco (if you need more than the village shops) and the same again into the center of Perth (a gem). The mountains are not far away either via the back roads with Ben Lawers and Kenmore very close. You can also get to Inverness in a couple of hours. Something for everyone here wether you want to laze or drive or walk.
