Description of the self catering
Burnbrae is a cosy, traditional cottage set in the quiet village of Milton, near Drumnadrochit just 2 miles from Loch Ness. It sleeps four in one double and one twin bedroom and comes fully equipped with everything you might need during your stay. All bedlinen and towels are provided free of charge and beds are made up ready for your arrival. The cottage is an excellent centre for day trips around the Highlands but is also a great place to relax and enjoy the tranquillity of a Highland glen. Burnbrae has gas central heating so is warm and comfortable no matter what time of year you visit. All gas and electricity is included in the rental charge.
Best Features
At any time of the year Burnbrae is ideally situated for day trips to the West Coast and the Isle of Skye or to John O'Groats and the Castle of Mey in the north. Travel to the top of Cairngorm on the mountain railway, see the steam train crossing the viaduct at Glenfinnan (as seen in the Harry Potter movie), watch the dolphins in the Moray Firth, visit castles, gardens, distilleries and battlefields - you won't have time to get bored. The garden at Burnbrae is bounded on one side by a burn where you can sometimes see heron fishing in the pools, or you might catch a glimpse of the resident red squirrels and roe deer which visit in the early morning. It's a great place to relax and unwind after a day's sighseeing. Come and see for yourself - you won't be disappointed!

Cottage Review: By its situation, Burnbrae cottage is a very convenient place for one who wishes to visit the Scottish Highlands. The Loch Ness of course, Inverness and surroundings, the Black Isle, Glen Affric, the Great Glen and even the Cairngorms are within driving distance for one day trips.
The cottage is cosy and quiet,and most suitable to accommodate a family with two children or teenagers. The hospitality and kindness of the owners leave no edge to criticism.
The only thing more to be wished is fair weather and not too much rain, but in this respect, things go as heavens will!

Cottage Review: We had a great time when we stayed at Burnbrae in June. The location was great for visiting every where we wanted to go. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed including towels and washing up things. We only had to take clothes and food.
The welcoming wine and fruit were a real treat with all we needed to make a hot drink when we arrived and shortbread!
It was great to have a good garden to sit in, with BBQ, seating and a table for those lazy at home days.
Plenty of parking, wonderful views. What more can I say, we will be back.
