Description of the self catering |
April Cottage is a stone and slate traditional cottage over 200 years old located in the heart of the Peak District sleeping 3 persons in 2 bedroom accomodation. The downstairs comprises a kitchen - all electric and lounge with open fire. To the rear of the kitchen the traditional steep staircase ascends to a landing with twin bedroom, bathroom with shower over bath, and small single bedroom. The property is gas central heated.
We do not allow pets and our no smoking policy covers anywhere within our boundaries. |

| Centrally located on the flat with 3 pubs - all serving food and 2 village shops, April Cottage is ideally located for walking with Bradford Dale running through the village and Lathkill Dale bordering the Parish. Haddon Hall is accessible by footpath and Chatsworth and Bakewell are 15 minutes by car. Within half an hour you can also drive to Buxton, Ashbourne, Matlock and Chesterfield. |

Great centre for excellent walking without having to travel far. The Bull has good beer and good value tasty food. The Farmyard likewise has good beer with slightly more expensive but better food. Buxton Opera House worth a visit if there is something on you like |

Thanks again for a lovely stay (No. 4). managed to do a lot even with an excess of precipitation!! - walked the Monsal Trail, Nine Ladies & Ilam Hall area with another visit to Hardwick Hall and the Buxton Festival. |
