In general the site was very well laid out in a rural setting. The welcome home made cake was a welcome surprise treat and the chalet was surprisingly large.

As wheelchair users we were pleased that there was a large wet room, but had our wheelchairs been any wider we wouldn't have got down the side of the bed. I was a little saddened that the kitchen was inaccessable to wheelchair users, the the counter tops being nearly 3 inches above the appliences. However, the kitchen was extremely well equipped with good quality crockery and pans etc. The large living area needs some redesigning too. The large curved sofa is in one piece and as there were 2 of us in chairs, there was only space for one, and at the end of the room at that. Some of us are very independent, yet it seems that the 'they need looking after' attitude still prevails. I'm not saying this was intentional as the owners seemed happy to help in any way. We did enjoy our stay, it made a good base to visit many places and yes, I would go again.

We stayed in the disabled chalet as my parents have limited mobility. It was perfect with plenty of room for us all. THe bedrooms were very spacious and the double room had an ensuite wet room which as so easy for my parents to use. THe living area has adequate room for 6 people with out you feeling on top of each other.

The kithen was very well equiped with good quality items. There is use of a washing machine on the site if desperately need it.

Beautiful views and so peaceful. Lots of safe space for the kids to run about and of course play with Liath the dog. She is so friendly and seeks out the kids to play with her. There is a lovely decking area with table and chairs out from the living room all on same level which was ideal.

Its easy to find just off the main A85 at Taynuilt. Although you need a car to go to places, there is plenty to do and see without having to go very far. The local village shop is well stocked and not that badly priced and there is tesco and other main supermarkets in Oban which is only 20 minutes away. A fishmonger comes on site on a Wed with a good selection of fish.

A homemade fruit cake on the dining table was very welcoming.

There is TV & DVD and a huge selection of DVDs to borrow in the reception area of the owners house along with books.

The local Taynuilt hotel offers fantastic food and huge portions.

I would definately recommend Airdeny to all types

We and our two dogs spent a fabulous week at Airdeny Chalets and were made to feel most welcome. Lovely surprise of delicious home made cake on arrival. The chalet, in the most beautiful setting, was spotlessly clean, spacious, very comfortable and extremely well equipped - Jenifer has thought of everything. The view from the chalets is spectacular, with great outdoor space complete with bench and seating where you can make the most of having meals al fresco. Safe for the dogs too. We didn't have our own transport but the village is just under a mile away (where you can get the train to Oban) - a lovely walk. Everyone was very friendly, both in the local grocery store where you can get everything you need, and in the hotel where the food was tasty and plentiful. In fact we ate there most evenings. We were very lucky to have terrific weather and really enjoyed our walks in the surrounding countryside and down to Loch Awe. Would absolutely recommend Airdeny Chalets - a wonderful place to relax and unwind.

Brilliant well equipped chalets in a very tranquil and peaceful surrounding. The chalets themselves are very clean and come equipped with most mod cons, including sat TV and a de humidifier. Very good value for money for what you get, and loads to do in the local area. Highly recommended for families with children and pets. Is less than half an hour from Oban and is well connected to local areas of interest.

Jenifer is a very warm and welcoming owner, and Liath is the most child friendly playful dog in town.

I would also recommend it for a weekend of peaceful unwinding.

Nice unspoilt site in natural country surroundings. Just 7 chalets on the site, making for a peaceful stay. Few minutes from the local village, and main road to Oban. Chalet clean and comfortable, with everything in it to make you feel at home. Highly recommended, particularly if you want a nice peaceful stay. Given the location, though, you will need to travel to get to the nearest towns.
